Tesla has resumed accepting pre-orders for the next-generation Roadster ahead of its official debut. Customers must pay an initial deposit of $5,000 via credit card, followed by a wire transfer of $45,000 within 10 days to secure the reservation.
The official premiere of the production version is scheduled for October 1, 2026, in Waco, Texas. This event marks the end of a long development cycle, as the original prototype was first unveiled back in 2017, nearly nine years prior to the upcoming launch.
The company has not yet disclosed the final pricing or technical specifications for the vehicle, noting that these details will be confirmed following the presentation. Tesla is using the phrase Go for launch for the event, which will be held in front of a live audience.
The manufacturer claims the new Roadster will be the fastest production car in history. The company targets a zero-to-100 km/h acceleration time of less than one second, positioning the model as a significant milestone in its vehicle lineup.
