Tesla has begun testing a new feature called Dynamic Headlight Leveling, which is currently being rolled out to a limited number of vehicles in regions including the United States and the UAE. The update, identified as version 2026.38, is available for models such as the Model 3 and the Cybertruck.

The system automatically adjusts the pitch of the low-beam headlights based on the vehicle's posture. It compensates for changes caused by acceleration, climbing slopes, or heavy loads in the rear, ensuring the light beam remains focused on the road while preventing glare for other drivers.

This new functionality operates differently from Tesla's existing Adaptive Headlights. While the adaptive system uses matrix LED modules to create shadows around other road users, the dynamic leveling feature physically tilts the entire low-beam lens assembly using internal motors.

Tesla is currently in a controlled data collection phase to evaluate the feature's performance and its impact on headlight hardware. There is no official timeline for a wide-scale release, though the company expects to expand the rollout to more vehicles in future software updates.
