Tesla has introduced the high-performance all-wheel-drive version of the Model Y in China. The vehicle is priced starting at ¥369 000, making it the most expensive variant in the local lineup. Customers can expect delivery within 2 to 6 weeks. The car features a 78.4 kWh battery pack, with cells supplied by LG Energy Solution, and motors rated at 176 kW and 291 kW.

The new model accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.5 seconds and offers a CLTC range of 659 kilometers. It includes 21-inch Arachnid 2.0 wheels, red brake calipers, a carbon-fiber spoiler, and adaptive suspension. This launch adds a fifth option to the existing Model Y range, which includes three other variants starting from ¥263 500.

The release occurs amid a decline in Model Y sales in China, which fell 25.76% year-on-year to 29 260 units in August. Total deliveries for the model reached 226 931 vehicles in the first 8 months of the year, a 6.10% decrease. To stimulate demand, Tesla is offering a ¥10 000 discount on inventory vehicles delivered by September 30.
