Tesla's Cybercab is designed for commercial fleet operations, focusing on reducing costs and increasing reliability. To achieve this, the company has removed the onboard charger (OBC) used to convert AC power to DC power.

The vehicle uses a hidden NACS charging port for wired DC fast charging. Tesla is also developing an induction-based wireless charging system to enable high-efficiency power transfer for its Robotaxi fleet.

Tesla is building large-scale charging and maintenance centers specifically for autonomous fleets. If the vehicle is later offered to private owners, Tesla may open these centers to them or introduce home wireless charging pads.
