Mayer suggested that users could coordinate schedules by having their AI assistants communicate with each other. In a recent interview, she stated she had not fully considered the implications of a future where social planning is delegated to artificial intelligence.

A study by the Pew Research Center indicates that 50% of adults in the United States believe AI will diminish the ability to form meaningful relationships. Only 5% of survey participants expressed the view that AI would facilitate better human connections.

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg stated that society may increasingly accept outsourcing emotional needs to AI therapists or romantic partners. The company is currently developing realistic virtual reality avatars to simulate human interaction.
