Wabi, an AI startup focused on personal agent technology, has secured $55 million in a new funding round. This investment brings the company valuation to $1.25 billion.
Founded by Eugenia Kuyda, the creator of Replika, Wabi initially launched as a platform for building applications via prompts. The company recently pivoted to function as an AI messenger, or personal agent, capable of generating custom interfaces for specific user tasks.
The platform allows users to create mini apps for various activities, including meal planning, fitness tracking, restaurant discovery, and game design. This shift aligns with the growing market interest in agentic AI systems.
The funding round was led by IVP. Other participants included Andreessen Horowitz, Forerunner, and the Amazon Alexa Fund. Notable angel investors, such as Tobi Lutke, Marc Benioff, Marissa Mayer, Dick Costolo, and Alex Pall, also contributed to the round.
