Meta has released a new AI-powered fashion application named Style Sketch. The tool allows users to curate a virtual wardrobe by importing images from their Instagram accounts or by manually uploading photos and videos of their clothing items.
The application generates outfit recommendations based on the user's existing wardrobe. It features a virtual try-on function that utilizes a model adjusted to the user's specific body shape and skin tone. Additionally, the app provides outfit planning services for travel based on destination weather and itineraries.
Style Sketch is currently available for iOS and Android users in Indonesia, Singapore, and Thailand. Meta has not provided information regarding potential plans for a broader international rollout of the application.
This release aligns with Meta's strategy to increase its output of new applications. CEO Mark Zuckerberg previously indicated that advancements in AI-driven development processes have enabled the company to accelerate the creation and deployment of new software products.
