Stoke Space has secured $1 billion in a Series E funding round. The capital will support the company's efforts to reach orbit and scale production for its next-generation launch vehicles.

The investment round was led by Point72 Ventures and Spark Capital. Other participants included General Innovation, Glade Brook Capital, US Innovation Technology, Washington Harbour Partners, Woven Capital, and Y Combinator.

The company is developing a fully reusable rocket, aiming to recover both the booster and the second stage. Stoke Space utilizes an active cooling system that circulates super-cooled liquid hydrogen through thermal shielding to manage reentry heat.

The first vehicle, Nova Pathfinder, is scheduled for its maiden flight in early 2027. The rocket is designed to carry three metric tons to low-Earth orbit. Ground testing is currently underway at the company's Moses Lake facility.

Stoke Space is also developing a larger rocket, Nova Block 2, with a target deployment date of 2029. This vehicle is expected to carry 15 metric tons to low-Earth orbit, surpassing the capacity of the Falcon 9.
