Steplife Group, a manufacturer of bionic prosthetics, has established a subsidiary, Steplife India, located in Gurugram. The new entity will focus on the assembly of knee modules and prosthetics for the local market, with plans to expand into carbon fiber foot production in the future.

The subsidiary is founded by JSC Steplife and has already obtained the necessary local business licenses. The facility will employ a mix of Russian and Indian specialists. According to CEO Ivan Khudyakov, the company has already begun the assembly process and expects to reach full production capacity by the end of the year.

The company's entry into the Indian market follows a partnership with the Prosthetic India rehabilitation center, which facilitated the first patient fitting earlier this summer. Steplife also maintains ongoing collaborations with local firms regarding the production of prosthetic components.

Looking ahead, Steplife Group aims to expand its international presence by opening additional subsidiaries across Asia by the end of 2027. The company's expansion strategy targets regions including North Africa, the Persian Gulf, Southeast Asia, Kazakhstan, and the CIS countries.
