SpaceX plans to nearly double the download speeds for its Starlink satellite internet service for corporate clients by the end of 2026. Users of the Performance Gen 3 terminal on the Business Maritime plan will see speeds reach approximately 950 Mbps, up from the current 475 Mbps limit.
The performance boost is driven by the deployment of V3 satellites, which are larger and launched via Starship. These satellites are expected to provide a tenfold increase in total capacity compared to V2 models, with data transmission capabilities from users potentially increasing by up to 24 times.
Starting December 1, SpaceX will rename its Local Priority and Global Priority plans to Business Plan and Global Business Plan. The company is also considering price adjustments in specific markets, such as the UK, and may introduce a 30-day limit for out-of-region usage on the Business Plan.
Currently, the Performance Kit terminal is priced at $2000, with monthly service fees starting at $250 for a 50 GB package. High-end corporate plans currently reach speeds of 400 Mbps for $2150 per month. Land-based users can expect similar speed upgrades starting in 2027.
