SpaceX shares climbed 5.89% on Wednesday, reaching $151.94 per share. This movement pushed the company's total market valuation above $2 trillion. The growth follows the announcement of the 14th Starship flight, scheduled for September 22, which marks the rocket's first attempt to reach orbit.
The upcoming mission from Starbase in Texas will last approximately 10 hours. Starship is expected to reach an altitude of 275 kilometers and complete six orbits around Earth. The payload includes 26 Starlink V3 satellites. Unlike previous suborbital tests, this flight aims to demonstrate the craft's capability to deploy commercial cargo.
Analysts from ARK Invest suggest that a full Starship load could generate $1 billion in revenue per launch. Elon Musk has set a long-term goal of 10 000 flights annually by 2030. Additionally, market experts highlight the company's AI computing division as a potential growth driver, noting significant monthly capacity payments from Anthropic and Google.
Currently, 26 out of 34 analysts tracked by TipRanks maintain a buy rating on the stock. The average price target for SpaceX shares is set at $232.07, with individual forecasts ranging from $75 to $800. The company continues to operate across three primary business segments: launch services, satellite internet, and AI computing.
