Oslo-based engineering firm Solvera has secured $6.3 million in a pre-seed funding round. The investment was led by Seedcamp, with participation from Construct Venture, the Inception Fund, Momentum, OBOS Ventures, PSV Tech, Sondo, and The Nordic Web Ventures. Angel investors, including Spacemaker founders Anders Kvale and Havard Haukeland, also joined the round.
Founded in July 2026 by Arif Mirza, Pal Rasmussen, and Thorvald Thorsnes, Solvera operates as an engineering firm rather than a software vendor. The company takes full responsibility for project design, charging clients for outcomes instead of software licenses or consulting hours. AI agents perform the bulk of the work under the supervision of experienced engineers.
The startup focuses on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineering. In its first three months of operation, Solvera reached $1 million in contracted revenue. The team currently consists of nine members and is managing projects in Norway, including collaborations with the contractor Betonmast.
The new capital will support hiring for both technology and engineering teams. Solvera plans to expand its presence in Oslo, open a new office in London, and continue the development of its proprietary operating system. The company intends to use Norway as a testing ground before entering the UK market.
