Smart Engines has released version 3.6 of its Smart Document Engine, a platform for edge document recognition. The update improves the extraction of data from invoices, waybills, and other primary accounting documents.
The software operates locally on smartphones, tablets, or company servers. This on-premise architecture eliminates the need for internet connectivity and removes reliance on external cloud services.
In version 3.6, the developer reports a 14.03% reduction in errors for text fields and a 35.82% improvement in table data extraction, particularly for low-quality scans and handheld photos.
The platform supports over 230 document types and more than 100 languages. It is included in the Unified Register of Russian Software and is classified as an artificial intelligence solution.
