Serve Robotics, known for its sidewalk delivery robots, is launching a new business unit called Physical AI Services. The company aims to supply its proprietary connectivity and data tools to other developers building robots for farms, warehouses, and construction sites.

The new division offers three primary products. Serve Link provides high-performance connectivity between robots and data centers, allowing for off-board AI processing. A data curator tool helps identify edge cases in field data, while a foundation-model data catalog uses information from the company's own fleet to train robots for complex human environments.

The company has already secured Bedrock Robotics as a customer and is collaborating with T-Mobile to enhance AI computing power for robots. Serve Robotics will continue its existing delivery operations, which currently include partnerships with DoorDash and Wonder, alongside its hospital robot business acquired from Diligent Robotics.

CEO Ai Kashani stated that the expansion follows a strategy similar to Amazon Web Services, where internal technology is opened up to external developers. The company, which spun out of Postmates in 2021 and went public in 2024, announced this shift alongside its third-quarter earnings report.
