Zipline has secured $1.5 billion in a new funding round, bringing the company's total valuation to $21.5 billion. This figure represents a significant increase from January, when the startup was valued at $7.6 billion following a $600 million investment.
The financing round was led by Paradigm, WCM Investment Management, and Layer Global. Other participants included Uber, Tiger Global, J.P. Morgan, Fidelity Management and Research Company, Valor Equity Partners, ARK Invest, and Salesforce Ventures.
The company plans to utilize the capital to expand its manufacturing capacity in the United States, increase its workforce, and develop a nationwide delivery network for groceries, meals, and medical supplies.
Walmart has signed a multiyear agreement to add 300 Zipline delivery sites, building on a partnership that began in 2021. Zipline also formed a strategic partnership with Uber to integrate drone deliveries into the Uber Eats platform.
Zipline reports that its aircraft have completed 150 million autonomous commercial miles. In the Dallas-Fort Worth area, the company performed over one million deliveries in 2026, with a median delivery time of 19 minutes in October.
