Samsung Electronics is set to launch its first open-type earbuds, the Galaxy Buds On, in South Korea on October 27. The device will be available exclusively in black and priced at ₩299 000, which is approximately $225.
The open-ear design allows users to remain aware of their surroundings while listening to audio. This feature is intended for users who need to monitor their environment during activities like running or throughout their daily routines.
The earbuds incorporate AI-driven optimization supported by 4D computing and follow ergonomic design principles. The device supports hands-free AI voice commands when paired with smartphones or tablets.
Key features include integration with Gemini Live for conversational idea refinement and a quick voice memo function for recording tasks. Additionally, the hardware supports head gesture recognition and touch-based controls.
