Samsung is reportedly planning to accelerate the release of its upcoming Galaxy S27 flagship series. According to industry insider Lanzuk, the company aims to unveil the new smartphones in early January 2027, marking a return to the earlier launch schedule previously seen with the Galaxy S21, which debuted on January 14, 2021.
This shift in timing represents a move ahead of the release dates for the Galaxy S25, which launched on January 22, 2025, and the Galaxy S26, which was introduced on February 25, 2026. The new lineup is expected to consist of four distinct models: the Galaxy S27, S27+, S27 Pro, and the top-tier S27 Ultra.
Reports indicate that Samsung has finalized the core components for the upcoming devices. Insider Schrodinger suggests that the entire Galaxy S27 series will be powered by the Exynos 2700 system-on-chip. This strategy is expected to apply to the Galaxy S27 Ultra as well, with the proprietary Samsung SoC being utilized across most global regions.
