Salesforce is currently negotiating the acquisition of Listen Labs, a startup specializing in AI-driven customer research. The proposed deal values the company at approximately $2 billion, which is four times higher than its valuation of $500 million recorded eight months ago.

Founded in 2023, Listen Labs automates qualitative research by utilizing AI interviewers to design studies and conduct conversations. The startup has completed over 1 million interviews and reports a 15x annualized revenue growth. Its client base includes Microsoft, Google, Anthropic, and Nestlé.

The $2 billion price tag represents a multiple of roughly 67 times the startup's estimated annual revenue of $30 million. For comparison, typical enterprise SaaS acquisitions usually range between 10x and 20x revenue. Salesforce intends to integrate the technology into its Agentforce AI platform.

In January 2026, Listen Labs secured $69 million in a Series B funding round. The company previously considered a Series C round of $125 million at a valuation of $1.5 billion but abandoned those plans to pursue the Salesforce acquisition. The deal is not yet finalized.
