A joint study by hh.ru and Setka, surveying 1,200 Russian recruiters, reveals that 54% of employers view the use of AI in resume preparation positively. Overall, 87% of surveyed companies have already encountered candidates using AI tools during the hiring process.

Acceptance levels vary by task: 51% of employers approve of AI if the candidate can explain the logic behind its use, 42% allow AI for home assignments, and 38% accept AI prompts during online interviews. However, 25% of large companies with over 1,000 employees report decreased trust in home-based test tasks.

To adapt, 28% of recruiters now ask more questions about decision-making logic, 23% cross-reference resume data with other sources, and 22% include questions designed to bypass AI-generated responses. Additionally, 17% of companies require candidates to solve tasks in real-time during interviews.

Recruiters also increasingly rely on social media to assess soft skills, with 69% of employers finding such profiles useful for evaluating communication styles. Checking social media is most prevalent in retail, transport, and consumer services (68%), as well as in IT, finance, and media sectors (64%).
