Relex has obtained a license from the FSTEC of Russia, authorizing the company to develop and manufacture tools for protecting confidential information. This regulatory approval serves as a mandatory prerequisite for the company to initiate the formal certification process for its Linter Sokol database management system.

The license enables Relex to participate in public procurement tenders. Such requirements are frequently stipulated by government agencies, operators of critical information infrastructure, and major organizations within the energy, transport, and healthcare sectors that mandate the use of certified security solutions.

To maintain this license, the company must demonstrate established secure software development processes. The regulator evaluates technical practices, including code analysis, dependency management, fuzzing, dynamic testing, and vulnerability handling procedures, which directly impact the overall security of the product.

According to Irina Myagkova, Deputy General Director for Development at Relex, the license acts as a strategic development tool. It removes legal barriers for working with the public sector and establishes a foundation for deploying the Linter Sokol DBMS in highly sensitive national infrastructure projects.
