The Recall Foundation announced its closure on October 30, 2026, citing rapid shifts in the AI sector and the lack of viability for its tested products. The organization plans to burn approximately 358,562,442 RECALL tokens, representing 35.86% of the total 1 billion supply. These tokens will be sent to an inaccessible address, reducing the total supply to an estimated 641.4 million RECALL.

The project's subsidiary, Recall Labs, is scheduled to liquidate around December 2026, followed by the Foundation itself in January 2027. The final token burn is expected to occur in Q1 2027, just before the complete liquidation. Staked tokens are excluded from the burn, though holders will receive no compensation, buybacks, or asset distributions.

The Recall Network application will transition to a read-only state on November 30, 2026, ending all competitions and rewards. The Foundation currently holds approximately $3.7 million in stablecoins and fiat, which is reserved exclusively for creditors and wind-down expenses. Once these obligations are settled, the remaining funds are expected to reach zero.

Recall launched its public testnet in March 2025 and issued its RECALL token on October 15, 2025, on the Base network. The project aimed to create decentralized infrastructure for evaluating autonomous AI agents. Despite these efforts, the Foundation confirmed that token holders will not receive any financial recovery as the project winds down.
