Jaguar Land Rover has announced the Range Rover GT, an all-electric model that the company classifies as a grand tourer rather than an SUV. The vehicle features the lowest center of gravity and the highest aerodynamic efficiency of any model in the current Range Rover lineup, designed to optimize driving range and minimize wind noise.

The GT is built on the company's new Electric Modular Architecture (EMA). Technical specifications may include an 850-volt electrical system and a 118-kWh NMC battery, potentially supporting DC fast charging up to 350 kW. The powertrain is expected to feature a dual-motor configuration.

Testing for the new model has been conducted across the UK, Belgium, and Germany, including trials at the Nürburgring. Despite its low-slung design, the manufacturer claims the vehicle will maintain off-road capabilities. The interior will feature a two-spoke steering wheel, a floating center console, and a large infotainment display.

While the initial launch will focus on the electric variant, the company has confirmed that a hybrid version is also in development. The hybrid model is scheduled to arrive following the release of the all-electric version.
