BYD has officially named its new ultra-luxury executive sedan 'Dingyao'. The vehicle will be marketed internationally under the name YANGWANG ALTIOR, with the English designation derived from the Latin word for 'higher'.

The sedan features a square and elegant design, incorporating a front fascia style similar to the Yangwang U8. Notable exterior elements include coach doors and crystal headlights, which are intended to emphasize the vehicle's luxury positioning.

Technical specifications for the upcoming model include the integration of LiDAR technology and support for fast-charging capabilities. The company previously teased the vehicle in September, showcasing its silhouette while under camouflage.

According to company representatives, the naming reflects a combination of Eastern design philosophy and a global ambition for continuous advancement. The project aims to deliver disruptive technologies consistent with the brand's previous product releases.
