Rabbit Inc. has released OS3, a cross-platform operating system designed to replace traditional app interfaces with a single chat-based system. The software allows users to describe tasks, which the system then executes by navigating web services and desktop applications automatically.

The platform became available on September 22, 2026. It supports Windows, Mac, Linux, cloud instances, and the company's hardware, including the r1 device and the upcoming cyberdeck. This release follows the launch of rabbitOS 2 in September 2025.

OS3 utilizes two core technologies: the Large Action Model (LAM) for interpreting user intent across web services, and the Direct Large Action Model (DLAM) for controlling desktop interfaces. These enable the system to perform actions like clicking buttons and filling out forms.

The company refers to these capabilities as universal skills, allowing tasks to transition seamlessly between different devices and operating systems. Rabbit aims to provide a platform-agnostic layer that functions across various hardware environments.
