Porsche is restructuring its lineup to prioritize high-profit models and simplify its offerings. This process involves thousands of job cuts and a closer collaboration with other VW Group brands to reduce costs. As part of this strategy, Porsche will use Audi's Premium Platform Combustion architecture for a replacement of the combustion-powered Macan.

The company is considering a new mid-engined supercar to serve as a halo model, which would be its first proper supercar since the 918 Spyder launched in 2013. Reports suggest this vehicle may utilize technology from the limited-run Audi Nuvolari, which in turn shares components with the Lamborghini Temerario.

This potential project may replace the previously planned all-electric hypercar based on the Mission X concept, which was unveiled three years ago as a rival to the McLaren W1 and Ferrari F80. The Porsche supervisory board is expected to decide on the future of this halo supercar after the summer break.

The 911 will remain the core of the future lineup and will not transition to an electric vehicle. Additionally, Porsche plans to increase capacity for its Sonderwunsch bespoke customization program, viewing these highly customized vehicles as a primary driver of future profits.
