European legacy automakers focused heavily on retro-styled vehicles, such as the Citroen 2 CV concept, the Fiat 600, and the Renault 4 and 5. Industry executives at the Paris Automotive Summit advocated for regulatory easing and continued development of internal combustion engines.

XPENG showcased its new G9L model and conducted autonomous driving demonstrations in Paris traffic. CEO He Xiaopeng was the only non-European executive to speak at the summit, where he proposed a collaborative approach to the future of the industry.

BYD introduced Flash Charging technology for the ATTO 8 in Europe. Other Chinese manufacturers also expanded their presence: Li Auto prepared for a 2027 European launch, while Leapmotor displayed vehicles alongside its partner Stellantis.

Lucid announced its entry into the European market during the show, and Tesla presented the Cybercab. While European companies emphasized brand heritage, Chinese entrants focused on technological leadership and competitive pricing strategies.
