BYD has officially launched its second-generation blade battery and flash charging technology in Indonesia. The company also announced the market entry of the Denza Z9GT and Denza D9 models, marking the inauguration of its first overseas flash charging network.
The flash charging system features a T-shaped suspended design and a zero-gravity charging gun, supporting plug-and-play functionality. BYD claims the technology allows for a partial charge in 5 minutes and a full charge in 9 minutes.
The company is deploying these charging stations at 10 Denza dealerships across Indonesia, with plans to expand into a broader public network by the end of the year. Globally, BYD intends to construct 6,000 flash charging stations in international markets.
As of October 7, 2026, BYD has completed 12,165 flash charging stations in China, including 2,111 high-speed charging stations, spanning 341 cities. The company aims to reach a total of 20,000 stations in China by the end of 2026.
