The pre-seed funding round for Palma.ai was led by D11Z. Other participants included Plug and Play Ventures, Deel, Scale Now Ventures, and several angel investors, among them executives from Cisco and Deel.

Founded by CEO Patrick Eden and CTO Julian Kolbe, the startup provides a governance layer for AI agents. The platform enables IT and security teams to centrally manage permissions and audit agent activity across various AI models, including Claude, Gemini, and Microsoft Copilot.

The software utilizes the Model Context Protocol to connect AI models with internal company data. Administrators can define specific policies and workflows, such as financial reporting or CRM updates, which the system enforces at runtime while creating a tamper-evident audit trail.

Palma.ai plans to allocate the $1.8 million investment toward expanding its engineering and go-to-market teams. The company aims to scale its operations to support more enterprise clients as they integrate AI agents into their internal systems.
