The Ouroboros tool is designed to integrate into the development harness to automate code debugging for LLMs. It functions by wrapping functions or lines of code with logging mechanisms, capturing function signatures, arguments, and return values.
The primary objective is to reduce costs associated with AI agents writing and maintaining tests for large codebases. By executing code in isolation and tracing function calls, the tool allows agents to analyze execution flow without manual intervention.
While the tool increases compilation or interpretation time during development, the logging logic is excluded from production code. The project is currently available on GitHub, with documentation hosted on GitHub Pages and a dataset published on Hugging Face.
