Oracle is updating its security portfolio to address the rise of agentic AI in enterprise environments. The company focuses on helping clients identify sensitive data assets and map where AI systems are being developed within their organizations.
Johnnie Konstantas, group vice president of Oracle Cloud Engineering, emphasized that agentic AI acts as a proxy for human users, necessitating stricter identity controls. These agents carry user permissions to access data and execute workflows, requiring uniform and pervasive security measures.
The company has introduced new capabilities in its AI database specifically designed to support agentic AI workflows. These tools aim to balance the adoption of autonomous technologies with the need for robust data protection against evolving AI-powered cyber threats.
