Paris-based startup Opio has secured €4 million in a seed funding round led by Frst, Seedcamp, and Global Founders Capital. The company, which employs 10 people, develops AI software designed to automate financial due diligence processes for audit and advisory firms.

The platform automatically collects and organizes financial data, a task that traditionally requires weeks of manual work. According to Opio, the tool currently saves 27% of the time spent by transaction services professionals. The software is already utilized by teams at Forvis Mazars Group and BDO across 15 countries.

The startup plans to use the new capital to hire engineers and expand its sales teams in the UK, Germany, and Spain. Opio aims to increase its international revenue share from the current 15% to 50% within the next year, while preparing for a future entry into the US market.

Beyond its current focus, the company intends to expand its product offering to include statutory audit services. Opio was founded by Tristan Fulchiron and Olivier Chancé, with the latter serving as general manager. The company is backed by investors from KKR, Deutsche Bank, HSBC, and several tech founders.
