Ontario-based NVT Phybridge has announced plans to acquire selected assets from Nitek, a supplier of video transmission equipment. The companies expect the transaction to close by the end of October 2026, pending due diligence and the execution of a purchase agreement.
NVT Phybridge specializes in Power over Ethernet technology, providing switches and extenders that transmit data and power through existing wiring. Nitek offers equipment for Ethernet over coaxial, two-wire, and fiber connections, alongside surge protection products for security systems.
The companies have not disclosed the purchase price or the specific assets involved in the deal. Until the transaction is finalized, both businesses will continue to operate independently. NVT Phybridge plans to support established product lines post-closing, though the final portfolio remains under review.
NVT Phybridge intends to utilize its international distribution network to reach new customers for Nitek products. The company also plans to update ordering procedures and support arrangements for Nitek distributors and customers following the completion of the acquisition.
