Nvidia has officially denied rumors regarding the discontinuation of its flagship GeForce RTX 5090 graphics card. Senior Vice President Jeff Fisher confirmed during the RTX Spark Launch Party in Taipei that production of the model remains active.

Fisher acknowledged that the company is currently facing supply chain constraints regarding production capacity. Despite these limitations, he stated that Nvidia is working to maintain market availability and will continue to supply the cards.

Prior to this statement, multiple industry sources, including BenchLife and PC Games Hardware, reported that Nvidia had ceased allocating GB202 graphics processors for the RTX 5090. These reports were supported by observations of the card disappearing from several US retailers.

The official starting price for the RTX 5090 is $1999 in the US and €2099 in Europe. However, market prices have fluctuated significantly, with reports of the card reaching €6699 in Germany as of October 15, 2026.

Nvidia did not clarify how it manages the allocation of GB202 chips between the gaming market and the artificial intelligence sector. Reports indicate that AI companies have been purchasing the cards in bulk, and no changes to this distribution priority were announced.
