Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang recently promoted the upcoming Microsoft Surface Laptop Ultra during an event in London. Huang described the device as a labor of love, noting that the development process spanned four years and involved thousands of employees.

The laptop is built on the Nvidia RTX Spark platform and features the N1X processor alongside RTX Blackwell graphics. Users will have the option to configure the device with up to 128GB of unified memory.

Huang emphasized that the project required the creation of a new chip and the completion of the Blackwell architecture. He discussed the development with Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella to align on the project goals.

The device is designed to run AI agents locally, allowing it to perform autonomous tasks such as image rendering or updating presentations. Huang envisions a future where users can send requests to their PC remotely.
