The latest Nvidia App version 11.0.9.565 introduces automated support for AI agents, which is enabled by default. This feature utilizes the MCP protocol to allow compatible assistants, such as Perplexity, to interact with the application via a local server. Users can manage these permissions through the settings menu.

AI agents can now access installed games, launch them, and apply recommended graphics settings. Furthermore, these agents have control over ShadowPlay recording, screenshot creation, overlay statistics, and driver information. For laptop users, the integration supports toggling Battery Boost and Whisper Mode.

While the local server does not inherently connect the PC to external services, data may be transmitted to remote servers when using cloud-based assistants. Some users have reported increased GPU load and heating during idle states. To disable this, users must toggle off the agent connection setting within the app.

The update also brings compatibility with RTX Spark devices and introduces a beta performance mode for DLSS frame generation. Additionally, the gaming overlay now displays real-time CPU frequency, power consumption, and temperature metrics.
