London-based AI infrastructure firm Nscale has signed a multi-year agreement to provide Figure with AI cloud capacity worth at least $3.5 billion, with potential to exceed $6 billion. Nscale also made a strategic investment in the robotics company, becoming a shareholder and its preferred compute provider.

The partnership involves allocating up to 100 000 NVIDIA GPUs. The first systems are scheduled for deployment in the second half of 2027 at Nscale’s facility in Barstow, Texas. Nscale will handle compute and orchestration, while NVIDIA provides the hardware and Figure develops its models and robots.

Nscale recently closed a $2 billion Series C round at a $14.6 billion valuation in March and secured approximately $3 billion in debt financing for GPU campuses in Texas and North Carolina. The company is preparing for a potential US IPO and reports $51 billion in contracted revenue.

Figure reached a $39 billion valuation following a Series C round exceeding $1 billion in September 2025. The company’s Index initiative currently processes 30 minutes of human training video every second. Figure aims to use the new infrastructure to scale the training of its Helix AI model.

The humanoid robotics sector has seen significant funding, with startups raising $8.6 billion in 2026, which is 1.8 times the total raised in 2025. Other notable market participants include Skild AI, which raised $1.4 billion, Apptronik, and Physical Intelligence.
