Silicon Data has integrated its rental indices for H100 and B200 graphics processors into the CME Group market data feeds. These indices provide forward curves that project rental rates up to 36 months into the future, with daily updates based on real transaction data. The data covers approximately 95% of the neo-cloud provider market.

As of mid-October 2026, rental costs for H100 units ranged from $2.53 to $2.81 per hour. For the more advanced B200 chips, rates fluctuated between $5.45 and $6.01 per hour. Current market trends indicate backwardation, suggesting that rental prices are expected to decrease as additional hardware capacity becomes available.

CME Group is preparing to introduce two cash-settled futures contracts, designated as GPU1 and GPU2, which will track the respective H100 and B200 indices. Each contract represents 730 GPU-hours. The launch was scheduled for October 5, 2026, subject to regulatory approval. The cash settlement mechanism avoids the need for physical delivery of compute resources.

Silicon Data secured $30.5 million in a Series A funding round in 2026. The investment round included participation from CME Group and DRW. The company launched its forward curves on April 20, 2026, establishing a benchmark for the emerging market of tradable compute assets.
