Berlin-based legal tech company Noxtua has secured over €100 million in a Series C funding round. The investment marks a significant shift in the company's shareholder structure, as C.H.BECK, which previously invested in the 2025 Series B round, has become the majority shareholder. Additionally, the publisher MANZ has joined as a new investor.
The capital injection will support Noxtua's pan-European expansion, product development, and team growth. The company, which spun out of research at Oxford University and Imperial College London in 2017, currently serves over 30,000 users. It operates six offices across Europe, including locations in Berlin, Paris, Stockholm, Zagreb, Munich, and Freiburg.
Noxtua utilizes curated legal data from partners such as C.H.BECK, MANZ, and Helbing Lichtenhahn to power its jurisdiction-specific AI workspaces. The platform is designed to handle research, document drafting, and complex legal analysis. The company maintains certifications including BSI C5, ISO 27001, and ISO 42001 to meet professional and data protection standards.
As part of the funding round, several early investors are exiting, including Global Brain Corporation, KDDI Open Innovation Fund, CMS, Dentons, and Dominik Schiener. Noxtua’s leadership stated that the company is moving away from the short-term venture capital cycle to focus on long-term strategic partnerships with European legal publishers.
