Nissan has officially launched the 2027 Altima, confirming the sedan will remain in production despite earlier rumors of its discontinuation. The updated model arrives with a price increase of $210 across the lineup compared to the previous year.
The entry-level Altima SV with front-wheel drive now starts at $29 065, including a destination charge of $1 275. All-wheel drive is no longer available on the base trim and is now restricted to the SR version, which starts at $30 465 plus a $1 500 option fee.
The vehicle retains its 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine paired with an Xtronic CVT. Performance figures are rated at 188 horsepower for front-wheel-drive models and 182 horsepower for all-wheel-drive variants. Standard features include Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and remote engine start.
Sales data for the first nine months of the year shows a 26.0 percent decline for the Altima, with 56 424 units sold. The current sixth-generation model is approaching its 10th year on the market, while competitors like the Toyota Camry continue to offer hybrid powertrain options.
