Great Wall Motor has officially opened pre-orders for the 2027 Tank 500 SUV. Customers who place a deposit of ¥3 000 will receive a discount of ¥9 000 on the final purchase price.
The vehicle features dimensions of 5078 by 1934 by 1905 mm with a wheelbase of 2850 mm. It offers a ground clearance of 210 mm, an approach angle of 29 degrees, and a departure angle of 24 degrees. A new Danxia Red exterior color option has been introduced.
The interior includes an integrated screen setup for the center console and front passenger, with the latter being a new addition. The cabin is equipped with 22 speakers, NAPPA leather upholstery, and a small table for rear passengers.
The SUV utilizes the Coffee Pilot 4.0 system, powered by a 700 TOPS Thor-U chip and 27 sensors, including a Hesai 192-line LiDAR. Three powertrain configurations are available: Hi4-T hybrid, Hi4-Z hybrid, and a 3.0T fuel version.
The Hi4-T model combines a 2.0T engine with a single motor and a 9HAT transmission, delivering 310 kW and 110 km of electric range from a 37.1 kWh battery. The Hi4-Z variant features a 2.0T engine, dual motors, and a 3-speed DHT, producing 635 kW with a 201 km electric range from a 59.05 kWh battery.
The fuel-powered version is equipped with a 3.0T engine and a 48V mild-hybrid system, paired with a 9AT transmission. It generates a maximum net power of 260 kW and a peak torque of 500 Nm.
