MTS has expanded its LTE network coverage in remote settlements of the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug. The deployment of new telecommunications equipment has increased network capacity, providing internet access at speeds of up to 70 Mbps to nearly 2,500 residents.

The network rollout includes the villages of Bolshetarkhovo in the Nizhnevartovsky district, Lykhma in the Beloyarsky district, and the village of Yumas in the Kondinsky district. In Bolshetarkhovo, the company installed a new base station manufactured by the Russian company Irteya.

The new infrastructure covers residential areas, schools, kindergartens, hospitals, and post offices. This connectivity enables local residents to access remote medical services, educational resources, government portals, and banking applications, as well as use social media and messaging platforms.

The network upgrade also introduces VoLTE technology to these settlements. This feature allows users to maintain an active internet session while simultaneously making voice calls. The service can be activated by users directly through their smartphone settings.
