MTS has expanded its fixed network infrastructure in Kirov, providing high-speed internet access of up to 1 Gbit/s to over 2,000 additional households. The project involved technical upgrades across 22 multi-story residential buildings located on various streets, including Gorky, Potrebkooperatsii, and the Raduzhny microdistrict.
The new infrastructure supports simultaneous high-bandwidth activities such as 4K video streaming, online gaming, and video conferencing. Additionally, the network serves as a foundation for smart home systems, including security cameras and leak sensors. The company also noted that the infrastructure supports VoWiFi technology for improved indoor voice connectivity.
According to MTS BigData, gigabit plans are primarily utilized by households with three or more members. Since the beginning of 2026, the company has connected more than 7,000 families in the Kirov region to its gigabit network. Customers can verify service availability at their specific addresses through the official MTS website.
