Insurance broker MRH Trowe has launched a secure system allowing its staff to develop custom AI agents. This initiative addresses security concerns that arose when employees began using unauthorized AI tools, which threatened to expose sensitive client data. The platform currently serves approximately 400 employees.

The infrastructure operates on Amazon Web Services, with all data processing restricted to the Frankfurt region to ensure compliance. The system incurs a monthly cost of $14 per employee. Users do not require advanced technical skills to build agents, as the process involves minimal coding within the LibreChat interface.

The company has already deployed an agent capable of generating meeting minutes from transcripts. A newer tool, designed to support sales growth, analyzes customer records alongside public data to identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities. MRH Trowe plans to have 10 to 15 internal agents operational by the end of 2026.

Industry data from PYMNTS Intelligence indicates that 85% of financial services firms intend to increase their AI budgets over the coming year. While financial firms lead in adopting AI for internal tasks like revenue recognition and risk assessment, challenges such as poor data quality remain significant barriers for 30% of these organizations.
