Motive Technologies has launched a new suite of AI agents designed to automate fleet management tasks. The system aims to move beyond passive monitoring by proactively identifying and resolving operational issues without human intervention.

According to the company's 2026 ROI Report, 42% of customers identify administrative inefficiencies as a primary challenge. Motive estimates that fleet operators lose approximately $46 billion annually due to preventable issues like unplanned downtime, engine idling, and compliance violations.

The new agents integrate with existing vehicle sensors and software to manage maintenance, safety, and compliance. For instance, the system can detect driver fatigue, suggest rest stops, and automatically generate work orders for vehicle repairs.

Existing customers can deploy the agents using pre-configured templates. The company plans to introduce a feature early next year that will allow users to create custom agents by describing specific tasks in natural language.
