San Francisco-based startup Monid has secured $7.7 million in funding to scale its marketplace and infrastructure. This round follows a $2.1 million pre-seed investment announced on September 1, 2026, which included participation from 1984 Ventures and Llama Ventures.

Monid operates as an agent-native tool router and marketplace, allowing AI agents to discover, evaluate, and pay for third-party APIs. The platform enables developers to integrate once and maintain a single prepaid balance, eliminating the need for multiple vendor subscriptions.

The company charges starting at approximately $0.0013 per call, with a 10% platform fee added to provider rates. Failed API calls are not billed, and new accounts receive $1 in free credit. In September 2026, the platform processed 4 million transactions.

Launched in April 2026 with about 200 tools, the catalog expanded to between 1,700 and 2,500 endpoints from 55 to 72 providers by September 2026. The platform allows agents to compare and select tools at runtime.

Monid has open-sourced its engine, built on Deno 2 and TypeScript, under the MIT license. This move is intended to foster developer trust and encourage community contributions.
