Mitsubishi Motors Europe has updated the Eclipse Cross electric SUV with two new battery options. The lineup now includes a 67 kWh LFP battery using cell-to-pack architecture, providing a WLTP range of up to 472 km. Additionally, the previous 87 kWh NMC battery is replaced by an 89 kWh version, extending the maximum WLTP range to 650 km.
The 67 kWh LFP battery supports DC charging up to 165 kW, reaching 15 to 80 percent charge in about 24 minutes. The 89 kWh NMC battery offers 150 kW DC charging, taking approximately 28 minutes for the same interval. Both versions feature an 11 kW AC charger as standard, with an optional 22 kW upgrade available. The vehicle retains its 160 kW motor and 1.1-tonne towing capacity.
The updated Eclipse Cross shares its technical platform, known as RG Medium 1.0, with the Renault Scenic E-Tech. These battery enhancements mirror recent updates made to the Renault Scenic and Megane models. Mitsubishi has not yet disclosed pricing or specific market launch dates for the refreshed SUV, which currently starts at €43,990 in the Diamant Plus trim.
