Microsoft has released new preview builds for Windows 11, updating the 25H2 version to build 26220.9757 and the 26H1 version to build 28020.3292 for Beta channel participants.
The update introduces a redesigned context menu in File Explorer. The new layout aims to improve performance and declutter the interface while allowing users to customize visible options through the Settings app.
The Settings application itself has received performance optimizations, which Microsoft claims will reduce page load times in specific scenarios.
Windows now supports Unicode 17.0, adding 4,803 characters and support for four new scripts: Beria Erfe, Sidetic, Tai Yo, and Tolong Siki.
Microsoft acknowledged a known issue where the Recall feature may be missing or fail to launch on certain Copilot+ PCs after a clean installation of the operating system.
