Microsoft has updated its Media Creation Tool to include the Windows 11 26H2 version, which incorporates the October 2026 update. This integration allows users to install the latest system version directly from a USB drive without needing additional cumulative updates.

The new 26H2 image corresponds to Windows 11 Build 26300.9711, which includes the KB5127648 update. The Media Creation Tool itself remains at version 10.0.26100.7019, meaning previously downloaded versions of the tool should automatically fetch the latest image.

The KB5127648 update is also compatible with Windows 11 24H2 and 25H2 versions, corresponding to builds 26100.9711 and 26200.9711 respectively. These versions share a common foundation, allowing for universal cumulative updates across these releases.

Users can utilize the tool to either create a bootable USB drive or download an ISO file for external use. A USB drive with at least 8GB of capacity is required, and the process will format the drive, erasing all existing data.

The tool currently supports the creation of x64 images only. For Arm64 installations, users must download the ISO file directly from the official Microsoft website and use third-party software for the installation process.
