Metro 2033 Redux and Metro: Last Light Redux have received official support for Nvidia DLSS 5 neural rendering. The update was released on October 22, 2026, and includes a new DLSS-NR setting in the graphics menu.
The developer, 4A Games, did not explicitly list DLSS 5 in the official patch notes, which focus on 4K textures, improved PBR materials, screen space global illumination, and spatial audio support. Ray tracing was not included in this update.
The neural rendering feature is compatible with GeForce RTX 50 series graphics cards and RTX Spark systems. Early user reports indicate that enabling the feature can impact performance depending on hardware and settings.
The Next-Gen Update is currently available for free on Steam, Epic Games Store, and GOG. The release for console versions and the Windows Store version is scheduled for October 29, 2026.
