Mercedes-Benz China has initiated a recall for two imported AMG GT vehicles due to a potential fuel leak. The recall, registered under number E2026M0086V, affects cars manufactured between October 19, 2024, and November 25, 2024.

The issue stems from manufacturing and design deviations in the nuts at the fuel line connection, which may result in poor sealing. This defect could lead to minor fuel seepage, posing an emissions risk. The company has classified this as an emissions-related recall rather than a safety-related one.

Authorized Mercedes-Benz dealers will replace the fuel lines on the affected vehicles free of charge to mitigate the risk. Owners can verify if their vehicle is included in the recall by checking their VIN through the State Administration for Market Regulation's official channels.
